Here is what people have to say about the Panic-free Planning Potlucks and Workshops
I'm a procrastinator. No two ways about it. I'm pretty sure there isn't anything that would cause me to procrastinate more than taking time to plan for my own demise. Amy Shelf creates an environment where estate planning is as simple as having a workshop (well disguised as dinner party) and discussing life and death with your peers in an extremely relaxed and comfortable setting. Having other people in our group bring up questions I hadn't even thought of (and there were a lot of them) was an invaluable help. By the end of the evening I was able to make some informed decisions, fill out a few forms, get notarized on the spot, and be done with the whole process in time for dessert. I don't procrastinate with dessert.
I highly recommend Amy's Panic-free Planning Potluck to all procrastinators and non-procrastinators alike. It really could not have been an easier.
Thank you Amy!

I really enjoyed the Panic-free Planning Potluck. I feel that the cost made it accessible for us to do "now" instead of "when we can afford it" and you made the experience very understandable and easy. I loved the worksheet that you sent us beforehand, it made it easy for my husband and I to get a clear idea of what we needed to discuss and make decisions on. And, the event itself was such a pleasure. It was good to do it with friends, to be comfortable and un-intimidated by the whole process. I also feel like you explained everything very well for us in terms and language that we could understand. Thanks for everything!

We were really stressed before our potluck session with Amy. Our son was nearly eight and we still hadn't named a guardian in case of our demise, nor had we written wills or gotten our finances in order. It was on the perpetual "to do" list, but was just not getting done. When Amy told us about her potluck idea, it seemed like the push we needed to finally get something in place. The day before was stressful for us--gathering information and debating the merits of different folks who might end up raising our child should we both die at the same time. We were nervous, but Amy immediately set our minds at ease, explained everything clearly and concisely, and helped guide us through the forms. I was surprised at how easy it actually ended up being. And now it is done--a huge sigh of relief and weight off our minds. Amy is great. I have already recommended her services to co-workers and would recommend her services to anyone looking to get this done quickly, painlessly, and with a large dollop of humor.

The thought of putting together a will was never something that really crossed my mind until I got married. When my wife I started talking about it I got a little freaked out. I didn't even know where to begin. Then we went to Amy's Panic Free Planning Workshop and it couldn't have been easier. She was beyond helpful and explained what everything meant. It ended up being a very easy, comfortable, and actually, enjoyable process. Being in a group brought up questions that my wife or I wouldn't have thought of. Just an overall great experience. Thanks Amy!
